The Giants Causeway and Bushmills Railay

With the Giant’s Causeway and the world’s oldest whiskey distillery among its list of attractions, it is little wonder that the scenic North Antrim coast is Northern Ireland’s single most important tourist area.

The railway has been built to the Irish narrow gauge of three feet (0.915m) and the it runs between the town of Bushmills and a new passenger terminus at the Giant’s Causeway, and so provides a passenger link between the historic town of Bushmills and UNESCO World Heritage site at the Giant’s Causeway.
